Use your Microsoft Band to Help Spark Awareness to the Dangers of Heart Disease

In an effort to bring better public awareness to the dangers of heart disease, the British Heart Foundation is challenging Britain citizens to run 26.2 miles in their own time, at their own pace, any time during the month of May.

So far, over 21,000 people have signed up to participate. Participants can keep track of mileage and kilometers 3 different ways:

  • Strava

  • MapMyFitness

  • Manual entry on the web site

Using the Microsoft Health integration with Strava or MapMyFitness, you can use your Microsoft Band to automatically log your mileage to the MyMarathon web site. Additionally, MyMarathon offers fund raising options and you can tie your efforts directly to Strava and MapMyFitness.

You can sign-up to participate here: https://mymarathon.bhf.org.uk/

Share photos of your runs on Instagram and Twitter using the #MyMarathon hashtag.
