Along with 2-in-1 devices, use of digital pens/pencils, stylus input will grow – who might use them and why, benefits, drawbacks, etc.
Recent/new security technologies, such as fingerprint scanners and facial authentication, will become more mainstream.
4k screens moving into laptops
Improved color accuracy in laptop screens
Stronger yet lighter materials – such as pressed magnesium alloy -- help make laptops more durable
Epic battery life – especially in some 2-in-1 models, with batteries in tablet as well as one in keyboard accessory that work together
Better audio and speakers -- great for giving presentations to clients, etc.
Laptop makers will continue to look for ways to differentiate their products -- look for smaller touches that can have big benefits, such as the ability to charge smartphone and other devices even when laptop is off; dedicated Cortana keys; apps that help users take advantage of camera/audio recording for better note-taking; etc.
