The evolution and management of converged infrastructure

Thursday, October 29th at 2pm ET

It's a big, bold, and cloud-y data center world out there as more users, applications, and workloads require even more resources. There are challenges around data center scalability that shape how organizations of all sizes reevaluate their data center deployment and management methods. Questions around virtualization, cloud, and software-defined technologies require answers, and this is where convergence and converged infrastructure come into play.

However, we're not just discussing converged technologies - we're also looking at the software and intelligence that powers the hardware. We're now seeing granular controls around hardware resource management, and even logical policy delivery. For the administrator, this means an easier to manage and much more versatile infrastructure. For the business, this means direct alignment with goals and future market requirements.

When it comes to managing that enterprise infrastructure: rack servers, blade servers, and converged solutions with their related storage and networking components, it is important to consider the available system management tools for both local and remote management and across the entire system lifecycle, as well as the ability to adapt and integrate those new tools and assets into your existing IT management platform and practices.

In this webinar, you'll learn about all this and, most of all, you'll see real-world use-cases around converged infrastructure and where software-defined tools can fit in. Join us for this webinar focused on:

  • The evolution of the data center and understanding the modern cloud landscape

  • How the user and the business are impacting resource demands

  • What organizations can do to help scale their data center and their business effectively

  • Understanding new concepts around converged infrastructure and where this technology fits in

  • A look at software-defined technologies, their use-cases, and integrating with the cloud

  • Dell’s perspective on, and a brief overview of, enterprise system management
