Requirements for ASR Azure entitlements

Q. Are there any requirements to receive the entitlements in Azure that are associated with an Azure Site Recovery license?

A. There are two types of Azure Site Recovery (ASR) licenses: a license for on-premises to on-premises and a license for on-premises to Azure. At the time of this writing, the license for on-premises to Azure includes the following entitlements for each licensed VM (and remember these entitlements are pooled):

To receive these entitlements you must purchase the ASR licenses through your Enterprise Agreement using the associated ASR SKU. If you purchase the ASR licenses through other channels, such as direct, then these entitlements are not applied.
