Remote FX Support in Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2012

Q: Does the free Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2012 support RemoteFX?

A: Yes. The RemoteFX capability is included in the free Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2012 offering. The requirements are the same as for Windows Server 2012-- a processor that supports SLAT and a DirectX 11 graphics card (and associated driver).

Before RemoteFX will function, you must have enabled the RDS-Virtualization role, which you can do remotely via Server Manager or by using Windows PowerShell:
