Remote Desktop for Windows Phone Sheds the Preview Tag, Gets New Features

Almost a full year after the app was delivered into preview, Microsoft Remote Desktop for Windows Phone has now been delivered as a public offering, without the tedious steps to get it.

Available now in the Windows Phone store, the Microsoft team is also delivering some new, enterprise-level features amid last minute bug fixes.

New features:

  • Connecting to a remote system through a Remote Desktop Gateway

  • Accessing Remote Resources published by your admin

You can grab this version in the Windows Phone store here: Microsoft Remote Desktop

Additionally, Remote Desktop is also available for Windows 8.1, iOS, Mac OS X, and Android.
