Quick Update Release Fixes Microsoft Band USB Sync with Windows 10 for PCs

Available earlier this morning, the Microsoft Health app is now available from the Windows Store to install on Windows 10 PCs. However, while the first release promised to allow Band synching through a USB connection, it didn’t work.

A new version is now available that fixes the issue. Open the Windows Store on Windows 10 and Check for Updates in the Downloads and Updates area, or just use this link: http://aka.ms/Q83y15

Additionally - and this is important - you have to choose the app you want to sync your Band with - either the new Microsoft Health app or the old Desktop sync app. They don't work together. If your Band is connected to the Desktop Sync app when you try to sync using the Microsoft Health app, the Health app will force close. I suspect that eventually Microsoft will remove the Desktop sync app for download and require Band owners to use the Microsoft Health app as a full replacement.
