Quick Tip: Don’t Use the Facebook for Windows 10 App’s Pin to Start Feature
The latest Facebook treatment for Windows 10 still has at least one bug.

Microsoft and Facebook today have announced that the Windows 10 app promised for months is now available in the Windows Store. Facebook Messenger and Instagram are also getting the Windows 10 treatment, but are not cached in the store yet for download. Microsoft says they’ll be available for all Windows 10 users today sometime.
The Facebook app has gone through months of beta testing by a select number of private testers, so you would have thought most of the bugs would have been identified. Or, maybe Facebook is just taking cues from Microsoft’s newest strategy of “release it now, fix it later.”. Here’s one that didn’t make the fix list…
When you open the new Facebook app for the first time, it will prompt you to add a Live Tile to the Windows 10 Start Menu. While this is a good and helpful feature (thanks, Facebook) it limits your resizing options to just Small and Medium.
However, when you choose to pin the Facebook app to the Start Menu in the normal Windows 10 way (from the app’s actual icon), you get all resizing options (Small, Medium, Wide) – the way it should work in the first place.
