A: Windows Essentials 2012 is available at the Windows Live Essentials website and supports Windows 8 (in addition to Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2). Windows Essentials 2012 consists of the following components:
Photo Gallery
Movie Maker
Mail
Family Safety
Writer
Outlook Connector Pack
Microsoft Skydrive
For those using Windows 8, the SkyDrive and Mail applications aren't needed as these come with Windows 8.
