A: Yes. The new ability to run virtual machines (VMs) hosted on a SMB 3.0 (Windows Server 2012 and other SMB 3.0 storage platforms) file share that was introduced with Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V is also available on the client Hyper-V that's part of Windows 8.
