Outlook Groups App Updated for Windows 10 Mobile

Rumors abound about the imminent release of Windows 10 Mobile for existing Windows Phone 8.1 devices and whether that is true or not remains to be seen.

However, many will tell you that the release of a string of Microsoft and third party apps targeting that platform could be a good indicator of that OS release.

These days that it is a little murkier as a divining rod because in general we are seeing a lot of apps converted over to the Universal Windows Platform as Windows 10 continues to grow.

The Outlook Groups app is one of those to receive a very big update in the last 24 hours and it is now listed as Built for Windows 10.

If you use Office 365 this app will connect you to your team while you are on the go with the following features:

  • Easily participate in group email conversations

  • Share photos and “like” a message, or @mention a person or a group

  • Work together using the shared team OneNote’s notebook

  • View and co-author Office documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) shared with your group

  • Discover and join Office 365 Groups relevant to you

Today's update adds the following tweaks and items:

  • Native Windows 10 support

  • Dark and Light theme support

  • High contrast support

  • Multi attachment support

  • Upgraded conversations view

  • Minor bug fixes

Download Outlook Groups for Windows 10 mobile from the Windows Store and it is also available on iOS and Android.
