Azure ExpressRoute for Office 365 is a way for organizations to build a private connection to Office 365. The intent of ExpressRoute is to give Office 365 customers additional predictability, better performance, improved SLAs, and control over data privacy through a dedicated connection to Office 365. To make this happen, Microsoft has partnered with several network operators including British Telecom, Equinix, Tata Communications, TeleCity Group, and Verizon.
Microsoft has now announced that ExpressRoute is available for general consumption. Companies interested in the service should contact one of the participating network operators for more information. Once an agreement is in place, the network operator can enable the connection that provides a pair of dedicated and redundant private connections directly to Office 365.
Services that are included with ExpressRoute:
Exchange Online and Exchange Online Protection
SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Office 365 Video, and Delve
Skype for Business Online
Office Online
