Microsoft today has released the next in a frequent and long line of Cumulative Updates for Windows 10. Being Cumulative, if you missed the last four, you can install this one and know that you’re Windows 10 installation is completely up-to-date – at least that’s the theory until it changes.
Today’s update marks the 7th Cumulative pack of updates since Microsoft’s new operating system publicly released in July. I suspect Microsoft hopes that we’ll eventually stop counting, but without a proper list of what’s included in these updates other than “improvements to enhance the functionality” of Windows 10, there’s nothing else left to keep it interesting. I mean, Google’s Chrome browser is up to something like 47 or something, so Microsoft is in good company though it could surpass Chrome’s versioning in short order. So, let’s have some fun with this and consider this update to bring Windows 10 to Windows 10.7.
