New Releases for Visual Studio

Just like everything that Microsoft produces these days, its products are in a constant state of evolution. The company continues to release additional capabilities and features constantly. Keeping up with the latest offerings can be difficult.

Here’s what’s been released for Visual Studio recently:

TypeScript for Visual Studio 2015 - TypeScript is a language for application-scale JavaScript. TypeScript adds optional types, classes, and modules to JavaScript. TypeScript supports tools for large-scale JavaScript applications for any browser, for any host, on any OS. TypeScript compiles to clean, readable, standards-based JavaScript. Try it out at http://www.typescriptlang.org/playground

Feedback Client for Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2015 - By working with your stakeholders to install the Feedback Client for TFS on their computers, you can collect feedback about your software projects. You can request feedback from stakeholders, or they can provide rich feedback—for example, screenshots, audio, video, and attachments—that's tightly integrated into Visual Studio Team Foundation Server and Visual Studio Online.

Concurrency Visualizer Collection Tools for Visual Studio 2015 - The Concurrency Visualizer Collection Tools for Visual Studio 2015 allows you to collect from the command line traces containing contention data and thread activity data such as CPU utilization, thread contention, thread migration, synchronization delays, areas of overlapped I/O, and other system events. The traces can later be opened and viewed using the Concurrency Visualizer for Visual Studio 2015, which is available on the gallery as an extension to Visual Studio 2015.
