MTI to Integrate VERITAS Software Products

An agreement between MTI Technology and VERITAS Software includes joint marketing and development programs to enhance the value of MTI’s existing DataServices portfolio through the addition of VERITAS Software technology.The partnership will create products and services for delivering next-generation Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) solutions to simplify data management. To help speed deployment of new storage management solutions, MTI and VERITAS Software will conduct cross-certification testing. In addition, the companies announced that the RAID component of MTI’s Vivant enterprise storage solution is fully certified on VERITAS Cluster Server and VERITAS Foundation Suite.“Data is the fuel of the Internet, and MTI’s mission is to manage and protect that fuel with storage solutions for Internet-related businesses,” says Tom Raimondi, MTI president and CEO.
