If you're feeling down that you missed this year's TechEd, come join the left-behind Windows IT Pro editors in a pity party.

While we (three other editors and I) are holding down our labyrinthian fort at the Windows IT Pro office, the entire rest of the team (and the rest of the world, it seems) is off partying in New Orleans. And when I say partying, it's not some cutesy phrase because Windows Phone 7 is off the wall. No, they're really just sitting around, not working at all.

Here they are at some coffee stand...

Here they are smiling, enjoying life...

Here they are partying with some big robot things (well, I don't actually see them, but wherever they are I'm sure they're partying).

Meanwhile, we're stuck in this crusty, old, drab office (warning, pictures might bring on sudden onset of depression and melancholy):

No gourmet food like some people are enjoying...

Nobody drew an Avatar sketch of us...

Just the same old grind and cold vending machine snacks.

So if you're out there and you're feeling blue, we can relate. We're in pain with you, just as our slogan tells you that we're in IT with you. And if you're reading this article from TechEd, just go. We can't stand to see your nicely fed, blue Avatar face around here.

(In all seriousness, we're happy for all of our staff that are off at TechEd, and we hope all our readers who are attending the show are gaining priceless insights! We just wouldn't mind being there with you, though. :D)
