Microsoft Store Presidents Day Sale offers Discounts on Hardware

Are you contemplating a Microsoft hardware purchase?

February can be a good month for that because the Microsoft Store, both online and in their physical stores, are offering several discounts this month as part of their annual Presidents Day sale.

Depending on what you are shopping for some of these offers could definitely save you a few dollars and we wanted to make sure you heard about them. I mean who doesn't like saving money and getting their geek on!

Among the discounts they are offering this month you will find:

- Microsoft Band 2 is $50 off until 20 February 2016. Sale price is $199.99.

- Surface Pro 4 is $100 off until 27 February 2016. Offer appears to be valid on all the pre-configured models.

- No contract AT&T Lumia 640 is once again just $49.99 until 15 February 2016. This phone is a great upgrade target for Windows 10 and runs the new OS very well. Several commenters on the product page said they were able to call AT&T and get the device unlocked for other networks.

- Multiple Signature Edition PC models are on sale with discounts up to 50% off. Signature Edition PCs from Microsoft come with no bloatware and just the operating system installed. It is one of the best ways to purchase a new PC.

- All four models of the Surface 3 are also on sale although it does not appear they are specifically part of the Presidents Day discounts. You can get $100 off each model of the Surface 3 until 20 February 2016.

This is not the first time the Surface 3 has been discounted this year so it may be an indication that Microsoft is thinning out stock in preparation for a new piece of hardware in this category. Reports about Surface Pro 3 being sold out have been popping up over the last few weeks and even my local Microsoft store told me that they have sold their last Surface Pro 3.

If you are OK with last years model and saving a few dollars then now may be the time to grab Surface 3.

P.S. Most of these offers are only available in the US and Canada so be sure to check the fine print for your country.

But, wait...there's probably more so be sure to follow me on Twitter and Google+.
