Microsoft's London offices are the place to be for web developers, content authors, CIOs and marketing folk on May 12 when BrightStarr presents a half-day briefing entitled "Beyond the Firewall with SharePoint 2010".

Brightstarr is a doyen of the British SharePoint scene. In March, the consultancy was the first in the UK to achieve a gold standard in digital marketing competency from Microsoft. Its clients include Everything Everywhere (previously Orange/T-Mobile), Standard Bank and Pepsico. Its May event, which is free to attend, is aimed at those who are considering using SharePoint across the business for the first time and/or, as its title suggests, beyond their firewall as a primary web content management platform.

During the session, BrightStarr's speakers will use a live environment to showcase how SharePoint 2010 can meet the needs of all types of organisations' website strategy. It will be an interactive event with an opportunity to address experts from BrightStarr and Microsoft with questions. Organisers say that numbers are restricted, so to book a place register here.

The event's organisers also say that as many people have very specific questions regarding SharePoint 2010, they will be holding a "clinic" immediately after the briefing session with the opportunity to test drive a website built in SharePoint 2010.
