Windows IT Pro's sister publication SQL Server Magazine is joining Microsoft and HP in London on June 17 for an afternoon conference entitled Make Sense of Enterprise Data and Cure the Information Disconnect. The conference is free to attend and will be held at the Microsoft 's offices at Cardinal Place, Victoria Street. It includes an evening buffet with wine tasting.

Organisers say that cost-effectively harnessing huge volumes of data to gain business insight requires a new approach to information management. At the event, Microsoft and HP will explain how they have engineered a product range that combines their software and hardware assets into optimised data-warehouse appliances. In addition to delivering scalability, these appliances also provide enhanced support for Microsoft’s BI stack.

Presenters include Tom Casey, who  is responsible for Microsoft's business platform division’s cloud services initiatives, data warehousing guru Val Fontama and HP's Amel Blouza, an ESSN senior technology consultant  and SQL Server evangelist. You can register for free here.
