Hands on with Windows 10 Build 10547

Last week Microsoft released a new build of Windows 10 to the Windows Insider Fast Ring for testing. This build, 10547, is the third testing update to Insiders since the release of Windows 10 back on 29 July 2015.

These new testing builds are from the Threshold 2 (TH2) branch which is the update that is expected later this year to deliver continued stability improvements and some new features to Windows 10.

As I have used this new build over the last few days on both the  HP Spectre x360 2-in-1 and my HP Stream 7 tablet it feels pretty solid. Tablet Mode seems to work much better in this build which I think many will appreciate.

You can catch up on the added features, fixes and know issues with this build and then follow along with this gallery of screenshots from build 10547 to see my perspective on the update.

If this build of TH2 is any indicator then it will be a welcomed update when it lands for everyone later this year.

I am so pleased with this build that I am tempted to install it on all of my systems instead of just the two testing devices I currently have set up.
