Leading up to Amazon’s Prime day (July 12), the online retailer is enticing customers by delivering lead-up sales on popular items.
Today – and today only – the Garmin Vivofit fitness band is only $39.99. The Garmin Vivofit is a great entry-level band that actually houses real batteries to ensure that you only have to charge it about once a year. Just replace the batteries when its time.
I’ve been using and loving the Garmin Vivoactive HR, which is a considerable step up to the Vivofit, but, even the Vivofit enables you to become immersed in the rich Garmin Connect community. Garmin Connect is a full fitness ecosystem that stores and organizes your fitness and health data. Want to take the next step? Just upgrade to a Garmin device that provides more details and features and all your history data comes along. Garmin also offers other devices you can pair with your Connect account. For example, I’m currently using the Garmin Index Smart Scale that records my weight, BMI, bone density, muscle mass, and fat percentage and automatically uploads over Wi-Fi to my Garmin Connect account.
As I said, this is a great entry-level fitness device, but is also a great entryway into a rich community of fit seekers.
