Q: My Surface 2 has been updated, but now it won't turn on. What can I do?

A: If your Surface 2 device becomes stuck after an update, perform the following steps:

  1. Hold down the power button for 12 full seconds.

  2. Let go of the power button.

  3. Press the power button again for 2 seconds.

The device should now start.
