Disable Windows 10 notifications when presenting

Q. How can I stop notifications appearing on my Windows 10 machine when I'm presenting?

A. Normally when I present I use the extend screen option which enables different content to be presented than what is on my primary display however at times when you need to duplicate instead of extend you want to ensure notifications do not show up on screen while presenting. Windows 10 has a built in option to disable notifications when you are presenting. This is disabled by default however its easy to enable. Open Settings, select System and then under Notifications & actions set Hide notifications while presenting to On.
