After years of experimenting with virtual desktop infrastructure, IT managers are now jumping in with both feet, saying the technology can finally support even the most demanding users. From mapping companies to government agencies to corporations with thousands of knowledge workers to high-end manufacturing design firms, VDI installations are changing the ways people work and the ways their IT needs are managed.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

  • Challenges and Solutions: What hurdles have kept IT managers from fully adopting VDI and how those problems are being solved.

  • Case Studies: How VDI is being implemented for many different kinds of users, from office workers at the Pentagon to technicians at nuclear power plants, mapping and GIS power users at Esri and thousands of citizens using public PCs at the Orange County Public Library system.

  • What to look for when choosing a converged system that is optimized for VDI; from computing power to high-end graphics processing delivered to mobile endpoints.
