Deploying and Optimizing SQL Server for Virtual Machines

This paper provides guidance to those who have or who are considering deploying SQL Server on a virtual machine and how to optimize SQL Server’s performance for key critical resource areas that impact database performance and reliability in a virtual machine:  CPU, memory, network, and disk (storage).  Also covered is the critical need for a functional monitoring system, and possible approaches to take for post-deployment care.
