Data is the enterprise’s most critical asset and protecting that data is vital to ensure business continuity in the event of system failure, user error, or a disaster. Today, cloud has become an important option in your backup and restore strategies. Nearly every organization talks about using cloud services in some capacity. Despite this, only a relatively small percentage of them incorporate cloud services into their existing backup and recovery strategy. Service providers realize this and now offer cloud services offerings that range from archiving and replication to recovery, which are ready for corporate use.
During this webinar, Michael Otey will first present some current customer trends about moving applications and backup to the cloud, and then will discuss the ways that downtime can be costly to your business. Next you’ll learn about how Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) and Recovery Time Objects (RTOs) can influence you cloud backup and recovery strategies. Jerome Wendt of DCIG will then share some best practices that incorporate cloud services as part of a backup and recovery process.
