To add a userPrincipalName column, or sAMAccountName column, to the Name, Type, and Description columns that you see when you select the Users container in Active Directory Users and Computers:

1. On the menu bar, press View and Add/Remove Columns...

2. Select the Description field in the Displayed columns list.

3. To add a userPrincipalName column, double-click the User Logon Name in the Available columns list. To add a sAMAccountName column, double-click the Pre-Windows 2000 Logon Name column in the Available columns list.

NOTE: You can select an item in the Available columns list and press the Add button to move it to the Displayed columns list. You can select an item in the Displayed columns list and press the Remove button to move it to the Available columns list. You can select an item in the Displayed columns list and press the Move Up or Move Down button to alter the sequence of the column headings.
