Windows Server 2016 and System Center 2016 are near release and Microsoft has made a new document available to provide details around the amount of types of telemetry data that will be delivered to the company.
A lot has been made over the type and amount of data that is capable of delivering from inside the company to Microsoft in Windows 10. Some argue that Microsoft should never request any type of data, however, over the last year Microsoft has proven that the data it collects can produce quicker fixes and better quality products.
When Windows Server 2016 and System Center 2016 release, they will also have the capability to transmit data to Microsoft. Whether you’re worried about it, or just want to feel comfortable about the type of data that is being collected, you should download the new document:

Here’s a quick overview:
Security: Information that’s required to help keep the OS and System Center secure, including data about the Connected User Experience and Telemetry component settings, the Malicious Software Removal Tool (MSRT), and Windows Defender.
Basic: Basic device information, including: quality-related data, app compatibility, app usage data, and data from the Security level.
Enhanced: Additional insights, including: how the OS, System Center, and apps are used, how they perform, advanced reliability data, and data from both the Basic and Security levels.
Full: All data necessary to identify and help to fix problems, plus data from the Security, Basic, and Enhanced levels.
In addition to the types data collected and transmitted, the paper provides guidance on how to configure the telemetry settings.
