A. Microsoft released Windows Media Services 2008, the latest version of Windows Media Services, separately from the Server 2008 OS. In fact, Server 2008 didn’t include any media services.

You can download Windows Media Services 2008 for both 32- and 64-bit systems. Microsoft also offers downloads for Server Core and the remote management components for Windows Vista.
