Yesterday, Microsoft released the final version of its Windows Server 2003 Administration Tools Pack (adminpak.msi), which provides management tools to remotely manage Windows 2003 and Windows 2000 Server machines from Windows 2003 or Windows XP Service Pack 1 (SP1) systems. Microsoft recommends that users who have earlier versions of the tools uninstall those versions before installing the final version (build 3790).

The pack includes a range of tools, such as Active Directory Management, Active Directory Sites and Services, Active Directory Users and Groups, Cluster Administrator, DHCP, Dfs, DNS, Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Configuration, .NET Framework 1.1 Wizards, Network Load Balancing Manager, Remote Desktops, Remote Storage, Terminal Services Manager, Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration (UDDI) Services, and WINS.

The tools pack is available for free from the Microsoft Web site.
