JSI Tip 7784. When you install a fiber channel array in Windows 2000, you are prompted to restart your server?

When you install the subject device, your notification area may contain:

Windows has finished installing new devices. You must restart your computer before the new settings will take effect. Do you want to restart your computer now?

You can safely ignore this message and wait for a convenient time to restart your server. When you do, Plug and Play will finish installing the device.

NOTE: If you do not restart your server, make sure that a drive letter is assigned to the volume. If it is not, manually assign one.
