If you remove a Windows system file, you receive a System event log entry similar to:
The protected system file could not be restored to its original, valid version. The file version of the bad file is unknown. The specific error code is 0x00000057 [The parameter is incorrect].
This behavior will occur if Windows File Protection (WFP) detects an installation CD in the CD-ROM drive, AND the installation CD is NOT for Windows Server 2003.
