The subject behavior occurs because these print drivers are NOT compatible with Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition, or Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition.
To workaround this behavior, install compatible printer drivers from the PrintersWin9x folder of the installation CD-ROM.
