Windows 8.1 Deployment Labs Now Available on Microsoft Virtual Academy

In March, Microsoft's Ben Hunter and Michael Niehaus joined popular deployment experts (and MVPs) Johan Arwidmark and Mikael Nystrom to develop a series of Jump Start videos on deploying Windows 8.1. From creating images to deploying the images using MDT 2013 and Configuration Manager 2012 R2, these video tutorials walk you through the entire scenario for developing and delivering your own Windows 8.1 rollout. With the release of Update 1 for Windows 8.1's desktop features, and rumors of a Start Menu showing up in Update 2 later this year, there's really no reason to hold back from using Windows 8.x in your organization.

The Jump Start videos have now made their way to the Microsoft Virtual Academy web site, where you can receive student points for completing the course, but also to add to your learning plan to participate later.

Incidentally, both Michael Niehaus and Johan Arwidmark are scheduled to speak on various topics this year at IT/Dev Connections 2014. If you enjoy the Jump Start sessions, you'll love being able to get hands-on with the technologies at IT/Dev Connections 2014 and also to chat one-on-one with both Michael and Johan.
