A: Microsoft Server Performance Advisor (SPA), which at time of writing is at version 3.0, lets you compare the workloads of servers and do many other performance-related comparisons. SPA can be downloaded from the Microsoft website and enables several great capabilities:
Compare performance of the same server at different windows of time. For example, benchmark a newly installed server, then compare to current performance.
Compare different servers running the same workloads.
SPA has special packs that can track general server performance as well as track the performance of IIS and Hyper-V.
SPA works with Windows Server 2008 and later (including Windows Server 2012).
