Easiest Way to Tell if Windows 8.1 Update 1 is Installed

With all the hubbub about Windows 8.1 Update 1 being available, but also Microsoft releasing a bevy of other patches at the same time, wouldn’t it be nice if there was an easy way to tell if Windows 8.1 Update was one of the updates you applied?
There is an easy way.
On the Windows 8.x Start Screen, just look for Power and Search icons sitting directly on the screen next to your own profile picture. If one or the other exists, you have the update installed. If not, well, keep trying.
P.S. The Power Icon will not display on the Windows 8.1 Update 1 Start Screen for tablets running the RT version of Windows, or tablets with screens smaller than 8 inches.
