A. Windows SteadyState is a tool for Windows Vista and Windows XP that helps manage and set up shared computers to ensure a consistent user experience by stopping unauthorized changes.
There's not version of SteadyState for Windows 7, but many of SteadyState's features can be replicated using Group Policy. You can do machine reimaging quickly using System Center Configuration Manager or the free Microsoft Deployment Toolkit.
