Q. Can I remove the Windows on Windows 64 (WoW64) component from Windows 7 or a full installation of Windows Server 2008 R2?

A. No. Windows Server 2008 R2 Server Core doesn't install WoW64 by default, you must install it manually. Due to the number of dependencies with a full installation of Windows, however, WoW64 can't be removed from Windows 7 or a full Windows Server 2008 R2 installation.
