Insights are what make information such as website addresses, flights, stocks and times recognizable/interactive.
Usage stats are anonymous data to help Microsoft understand how users interact with the Sticky Notes program.
Just tap or click on the insight highlighted in blue to get a shortcut to interact with it.

The highlighter will not cover other text/drawings but will create a translucent layer with the selected color over them.
This will erase all the inking in Sketchpad and create a blank whiteboard.
The ruler helps you to draw straight lines while you are sketching or making notes.
One tip is that the ruler will block ink from being drawn on the whiteboard beneath it - just like a physical ruler would in the real world.
Once it is placed on the screen just get close to the edge and you will get the straightest line ever.
1 - Click this to use your finger (or a rubber tipped stylus) to draw on the whiteboard.
2 - Undo your last action/inking.
3 - Redo your last action/inking.

Screen Sketch uses a double click of the pen to grab a screen shot and open it up for annotations/inking.
It can then be shared just like a Sketchpad image.
The toolbar in Screen Sketch is exactly like the layout/functionality in Sketchpad.

Inking on Windows 10 has a brand new base of operations in the Windows 10 Anniversary Update and it is called Windows Ink Workspace.
You will automatically find its icon down in the system tray of any device that is compatible with using a pen on screen.
That is the icon right next to the onscreen keyboard icon. Just tap it or click on it with your mouse to open the Windows Ink Workspace.
By default, your pen is set to open the Windows Ink Workspace with one click of your pen's button.
However, if you are on a touch based device that does not work with a pen of any type then you can still add the Windows Ink Workspace icon to the the taskbar by right-clicking anywhere on the taskbar and placing a checkmark next to Show Windows Ink Workspace button.
This is handy to turn on because two of the Windows Ink Workspace apps, Sketchpad and Screen Sketch both work with your finger or a rubber tipped stylus to draw on the screen. In addition, Sticky Notes are fully functional using a mouse and keyboard.
This gallery will walk you through the layout of the Windows Ink Workspace and each of the main three apps available through that on the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.
