Windows 10 Build 14295 for PC and Mobile Available for Fast Ring Insiders
Microsoft is developing a new habit with their testing build releases that Windows Insiders are really enjoying.
For the second time in nine days, Microsoft has released a double whammy to its Windows Insiders and no, I am not talking about leaving some handsets out of the pool for the Windows 10 Mobile upgrade.
Today, by releasing Windows 10 Build 14295 to its cadre of Windows Insiders for testing, Microsoft has shipped the same build for both PCs and Mobile at the same time on two consecutive ship days as it was just nine days ago that Build 14291 was available for testers on both platforms.
Interestingly, if you go back two more cycles of releases for Windows Insiders you will find that Microsoft has shipped PC and Mobile builds on the same day but different platform builds for each.
On 04 March 2016, Microsoft shipped 14283 for Mobile and 14279 for PCs and then on 24 February it was 14271 for PCs and 14267.1004 for Mobile
So technically, that is four ship dates in a row that Windows 10 builds have been released for both PCs and Mobile devices by Microsoft on the same day. One last observation - they missed doing the same thing with PC and Mobile Build 14267 on 18/19 February - just one day between those releases.
Thanks to our new PC and Mobile Windows 10 Insider Preview trackers we can easily keep on eye on trends like this which is kind of fun for a geek like me.
Anyway, check out the trackers for the highlights but bottom line is that there are no new features since this build is just a few steps away from the last one but there are quite a few fixes on each platform.
You can also expect to find the normal Fast Ring related bugs to be dealt with as well.
So with the release of this build on a Friday, which is no longer much of a unicorn since it has become quite the norm by the way, the big question is what about during BUILD 2016 next week?
Will we get a new build for Windows 10 as the conference begins or is 14295 the build to carry us through next week and all the announcements that are expected? I guess only time will tell but I am going to take my Windows 10 test device just in case.
Let us know if you run into any issues with this new build.
But, wait...there's probably more so be sure to follow me on Twitter and Google+.
