Currently Windows Insiders are testing Windows 10 Mobile Build 10136 which they gained access to nine days ago.

While the overall reception of this build has been fairly positive it still has its share of issues and is very obviously well behind the development level of Windows 10 for desktops and tablets.

This is of course to be expected since Windows 10 is just 35 days away from General Availability (GA) on 29 July 2015 and that means Windows 10 Mobile has taken a backseat - even more so in this final days before GA.

We learned last week that resources will shift towards Windows 10 Mobile after its desktop counterpart wraps up its development cycle but that does not mean there is no work at all happening on the mobile side.

New leaked screenshots from mobile enthusiast website msmobile.pl of Windows 10 Mobile Build 10149 shows some steady progress since build 10136.

Just like in the leaked PC build 10147 Microsoft Edge now has its own branding in this build as it moves away from its code name Project Spartan and one UI element of the new browser, its address bar, has been moved to the bottom of the app for easier access.

As you look through these screenshots you will also see the merging of many Windows 10 desktop UI elements continuing to make their way into the mobile version of the OS as expected.

In January 2010 my community contributions were recognized by Microsoft when I received my first Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Award for the Windows Operating System. Since then I have been renewed as a Microsoft MVP each subsequent year since that initial award. I am also a member of the inaugural group of Windows Insider MVPs which began in 2016.
