Hummingbird, InterWorld Enhance Search Functions

In a collaborative effort to offer enhanced search functionalities, Hummingbird Communications Ltd. and InterWorld Corporation are teaming up to embed Hummingbird's SearchServer technology in InterWorld’s Commerce Exchange platform."Industry analysts have indicated that having a powerful, user-friendly search tool can contribute to approximately 30 percent increase in sales," says Mario Couture, Hummingbird product manager. "SearchServer was created to fulfill consumers' needs and provide Internet users with optimal search capabilities using cutting-edge technology."Besides easy location of specific products, pricing, promotions, and attributes, the combined solution offers users a suite of search features, including proximity searching, linguistic filters, wild card options, term variants and weights, an international thesaurus, and sorting.
