A. The limits for Windows Server 2016 Storage Spaces Direct are:

  • Maximum number of nodes - 16

  • Maximum number of disks - 240

  • Both NTFS and ReFS are supported although ReFS is the recommended file system to use. ReFS supports real-time tiering.
