Q: How do I delete a SQL Server Analysis Services database?

A: Deleting a SQL Server Analysis Services database by using SQL Server Management Studio is initially confusing, as the Analysis Services databases aren't shown. The solution is to create a new connection using SQL Server Management Studio. 

Choose the Connect Object Explorer option from the File menu. In the dialog box, make sure the Server type is set to Analysis Services, then select the server. This opens a connection to the Analysis Server and shows all the Analysis Services databases (see screen shot below).
