PASS Issues Call for Papers for European Conference
PASS, an independent, user-run association of global SQL Server technology professionals, issued a call for presentations for its first European conference.

On the heels of its first conference, PASS, an independent, user-run association of global SQL Server technology professionals, issued a call for presentations for its first European conference. The European conference will be held March 12-15, 2000, at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London. The deadline for presentation submissions is November 10, 1999. Each presenter will receive a complimentary presentation registration. For information on how to submit a presentation for consideration, go to http://www.sqlpass.org.Keynote speakers at last week's conference, which ended Oct. 2, included Paul Flessner, general manager of Microsoft SQL Server; Jim Gray, senior researcher at Microsoft and winner of the 1998 Association of Computing Machinery A.M. Turing Award; and Russell M. Artzt, executive vice president of research and development at Computer Associates, Inc. Preconference registration was about 1,100.
