Red Gate Announces ANTS Memory Profiler 7
Red Gate Software has released ANTS Memory Profiler 7 , the latest version of Red Gate's memory management tool, containing three major improvements.

Red Gate Software, a provider of tools for .NET development and SQL Server and email archiving technologies, has released ANTS Memory Profiler 7, the latest version of Red Gate's memory management tool. ANTS Memory Profiler enables .NET developers to find memory leaks and optimize memory usage of C# and Visual Basic code, to improve overall application performance.
ANTS Memory Profiler 7 includes three major improvements:
a new summary screen that jumps directly to causes of common problems
an Instance Categorizer, which improves understanding of why groups of objects are held in memory, making it simpler and faster to find leaks
an API that automates precise timing of snapshots within a developer's code
Red Gate project manager Mel Harbour says that the value of ANTS Memory Profiler 7 is that it "makes it vastly simpler to discover why an application isn’t using memory properly. It also lets developers find problems they might not have known existed, improving the quality of software shipped to customers."
