Xceed Launches Xceed 3D Views for WPF
Xceed released Xceed 3D Views for WPF, which focuses exclusively on Xceed s 3D capabilities under Windows Presentation Foundation. A fully functional trial version is available now for download fromhttp://xceed.com/.
Xceed 3D Views for WPF lets developers add the kind of 3D interactivity that end-users demand in today s modern software. Although the 2D table view available in Xceed DataGrid for WPF Professional Edition is a trusted powerhouse for presenting and editing data, many applications that don t need the advanced features it offers can benefit from a 3D approach. Consequently, Xceed 3D Views for WPF offers only a subset of the features found in Xceed DataGrid for WPF. Applications created using the Cardflow 3D view give developers and end-users complete control over aspects such as card offsets, spacing, and angles; camera position and angle; and field of view. The Cardflow view can be seen online in the Xceed DataGrid for WPF Live Explorer (click on Displaying Data, then 3D Views). Additional 3D views are being developed and will be added as they become available.
A choice of four multi-surface themes is provided: Three Office 2007 themes (Blue, Black, and Silver), and Chameleon, whose gradient colors can be chosen. Finally, several backgrounds are also provided, as are textures for the 3D and 2D cards.
Developed entirely for WPF and build with .NET 3.5, Xceed 3D Views for WPF comes with comprehensive documentation that fully integrates into Visual Studio, and includes C# and VB.NET sample applications.
For developers who need a complete data presentation and editing solution, Xceed DataGrid for WPF Professional Edition provides all the 3D capabilities included in Xceed 3D Views for WPF, and much more: Xceed s industry-defining 2D table view and card view; 12 editors usable outside the datagrid; hierarchical master/detail, and grouping with UI virtualization; custom detail relations; 18 themes (including Glass, Office 2007, and Windows Media Player 11, as well as Classic, Luna, Aero, Royale, and Zune); rich printing support; statistical rows and functions that can be used both inside and outside a grid in any element; column stretching and column widths supporting star values; automatic Excel-like filtering; fixed columns; and custom sorting. Adding a Vanguard subscription provides upgrades and priority support for an entire year.
