Developer tools provider ComponentOne has announced the pre-release of their ComponentOne Studio for Silverlight, and indicated that the final version will be available when Microsoft ships Silverlight 2 this fall.  According to ComponentOne, this new product will allow Silverlight developers to use their Silverlight components to quickly create common UI elements such as containers, sliders, buttons, and lists.

Microsoft announced here at Tech Ed 2008 Developers yesterday that Silverlight 2 will ship in Q3 2008, and that Silverlight 2 Beta 2 will be available for download later this week.

"Continuing a ComponentOne tradition since 1991, our components and technologies, including Studio for Silverlight, will simultaneously release with Microsoft's release of Silverlight 2," said Gustavo Eydelstyen, managing director of ComponentOne, in a statement announcing the new ComponentOne product. "With ComponentOne Studio for Silverlight, developers will have the tools they need to be able to create fully functional Silverlight applications from day one."
