Opera Adds SDK for Microsoft Windows CE

Opera Software announced availability of the Opera 9 SDKfor Devices running on the Microsoft Windows CE platform. Devices running onWindows CE can now integrate the full-featured Opera browser to deliver thefull Internet or to create Web applications, widgets, and dynamic userinterfaces.

 Opera s Webrendering and navigation technologies enable the Web to be dynamically adaptedto deliver a user experience to a wide range of device types. With Opera sexisting port and integration API for Microsoft Windows CE, devicemanufacturers can get Opera up and running on devices ranging from portablemedia players and remote controls to set-top boxes and automotive infotainmentsystems.

 Opera scapabilities designed for devices include its Extensible Rendering Architecture(ERA), which tailors Web sites to fit in any screen size, JavaScript andrendering engines, and a configurable and full-featured user interface. Opera alsoenables dynamic AJAX applications.
