Infragistics Releases NetAdvantage 2005 Beta 2 for VS 2005Beta 2
Infragistics announced the availability of its firstrelease of the NetAdvantage toolset for Visual Studio 2005 Beta 2. NetAdvantageis a toolset for building the presentation layer of your commercial-classWindows Forms, ASP.NET, and Tablet PC applications. NetAdvantage 2005 Volume 1,compiled natively against Visual Studio 2005 Beta 2, includes support for keyfeatures of the .NET Framework 2.0 and takes advantage of many of the new easeof use features in Visual Studio 2005, allowing developers to create consistentapplications with the Microsoft look and feel while writing less code thanusing .NET Framework 1.1.
Specific featuresin NetAdvantage 2005 Beta 2 for Visual Studio 2005 for Windows Forms include: snaplines, GDI text support, managed theming APIs/scroll control, smart tags, integrationof editors into the inbox grid, new data binding support (partial), DataSource windowintegration, and ImageList key integration. Specific features for ASP.NETinclude: design-time data binding, support for the new Designer Architecture,IWebPart support, out band callback for WebGrid, and more.
Before Microsoftdelivers the final release of Visual Studio 2005, Infragistics will roll out anadditional beta release of the NetAdvantage toolset for the Visual Studio 2005 Framework.This release will be based on the latest current shipping version ofNetAdvantage only, and will incorporate additional Visual Studio 2005functionality. Customers with a current NetAdvantage subscription will receiveall the new Visual Studio 2005/.NET Framework 2.0 products as soon as they arereleased, free of charge.
